  • iStock is one of our favorites for ease of use and price points–it works on a credit system.
  • PhotoShare is a service of The INFO Project, helping international non-profits communicate health and development issues through photography. You can browse the Photoshare collection, request images for nonprofit educational use, and learn more about development photography. The online photo database currently contains more than 10,000 cataloged images shared by colleagues around the world for documentary use.
  • Fotosearch is an image search engine that allows you to search over 2 million images from over 100 stock photography, stock illustration, and video footage publishers from one website.
  • Stock Index is a full-service stock image provider with over one million rights-managed and royalty-free high resolution images.
  • Imagesource is a leading provider of royalty-free stock photographs from around the world.
  • Superstock has more than 849,000 high resolution, premium images from major online stock houses.
  • Flickr is an online photo management service. You can organize and share your own photos or contact other members to arrange usage of their photos. Flickr membership is free.
  • Stock Xchang is an online gallery of more than 250,000 quality stock photos by more than 25,000 photographers. You can also share your photos with other members. Membership is free.
  • Canstockphoto is an online database that allows users to search through more than 2.5 million images for photos, clipart, or stock footage clips. Downloads start at $1.
  • www.health.gov.au is a public image gallery maintained by the Office for an Ageing Australia. The site includes images relating to positive and healthy aging, work and later life planning, and health and care for non-commercial public use.
